The
home of Carillon Bells, Asbury Church, where talent, energy, and
dedication mingle together with faith, theology, and understanding
toward our common hymn of praise. Under the skilled and dedicated
leadership of Ms. Sharon Birch, Carillon Bells has reached for
goals unknown to many, and taken all of us to new heights of worship
and joy. Jubilate Bells was originally founded in1989 by Mr. Taylor
Harvey as Asbury’s adult ringing choir of which Ms. Birch,
Kris Stuber, and Cindy Christensen were original founding members.
There was also a high school bell group called Carillon which
had been ringing on an irregular basis in the mid '80s. In 1998
Ms. Birch, with the support of several parents, began a bell ministry
at Asbury for children which has resulted in the beautifully graded
and integrated program of ringing that we have today. She is a
special leader with a unique calling, a member with a vision for
Asbury, a vision who’s boundaries have been blessed as a
result of her skilled leadership, musicianship, and faith. |
