Goals & Purpose
The purpose of the Asbury Chancel Choir is to glorify God through their music and individual ministries, to encourage others in their faith by means of their singing; and to nurture the over all Music Ministries at Asbury. They are unique in the length and breadth of opportunities they offer musicians to meet Christ and grow in the love of God. They are part of a music ministry that hosts an orchestra, woodwind ensemble, praise band, six singing choirs, and six ringing choirs--a collection of musicians that in itself is more than twice the size of the average worshipping congregation in this country. Music is a passion that they use to point musicians and listeners, from toddlers through retired persons, to a more meaningful life in Christ.
