Dana Bisker was raised in Salisbury Maryland, the oldest in a family of five. A stay-at-home mother of two, Alex and Emma. Dana has taught public school for eight years (First, Second and Fourth Grades) at Prince Street Elementary School and Willards Elementary School, prior to her first child, Alex, being born. Dana graduated from Salisbury University with her degree in Elementary Education in 1997; Masters Degree also in Education from Salisbury University (Certified Reading Specialist) in 2003. Certified in Early Childhood Education. Dana has taught summer school for WCBOE for three years and is a tutor for struggling readers in the after school programs, and a Mentor teacher for several Salisbury University interns. As a teacher Dana has seen the ways that incorporating music and singing is such a vital tool for early childhood education, and continues to use her gifts and abilities with the children in Asbury’s Little Mozarts. Dana has been the Co-Director for Glory (the name of the previous group for toddlers) since its conception three years ago, along with her son Alex, also a member of Asbury’s Little Mozarts. She is involved in many ministries of Asbury Church: a la carte, lay visitations, directing Vacation Bible School, United Methodist Women, Emergency Shelter Project, and the Salisbury Urban Ministry Fundraiser.
