Asbury Child Development Center, accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education, is a community ministry of Asbury United Methodist Church. Our purpose is to provide at reasonable cost a secure, loving, yet stimulating, environment and structured activities in which children ages 2 through Kindergarten can develop age appropriate social and mental skills without undue academic pressure.
   Every school day is comprised of both structured and non-structured time under the gentle guidance of qualified teachers. ACDC's classrooms present age-appropriate materials and activities to stimulate the natural curiosity in each child, encourage positive social interaction and develop a life-long love for the learning process.
   Jean Oakley directs a dynamic staff that includes 3 assistants, 14 teachers and 6 support personnel.

For the 2011-2012 school year ACDC offers:

• 2 year olds……1 or 2 ½-day/week, 9-11:30am
• 3 year olds……2 or 3 ½-days/week, 9-11:30am
• 4 year olds……3 or 5 ½-days/week, 9-11:30am or 12:30-3pm

(If space is available, 4’s registered for MWF may change their enrollment to M-F at any time during the school year.)

• Kindergarten________

_ M-F am (9:00am-noon), the complete Kindergarten curriculum
_ M-F pm (Noon-3:00pm), extended Kindergarten day, offered to those enrolled in the ACDC M-F am Kindergarten class only. It is an enrichment program for the ACDC am K students and will be comparable to or surpass that offered by the public Kindergarten program. (1/2 day Kindergarten students may change their enrollment from ½ day to full day at any time during the school year.)

Please note:  The cut off date for birthdays for all of the age groups is September 1st..    

An after school program called Lunch Bunch/MOTS (More Of The Same) is also offered for ACDC students on Wednesday & Thursday afternoons from 11:30am until 1pm (Lunch Bunch) or from 11:30am until 2:30pm (MOTS).  This program provides additional hours for those who wish on a daily sign-up basis.

Tuition and fees for the 2011-2012 school year is as follows:

Tuition:

• 1 day/week……$75/month
• 2 days/week…..$125/month
• 3 days/week….$155/month
• 5 days/week…..$205/month
• Kindergarten
  • Am ½-day….$260/month
  • Full day……$310/month

Materials Fee (one time):

• 1 day/week…..$25
• 2 days/week…..$50
• 3 days/week…..$75
• 5 days/week….$100
• Kindergarten…$125

• In addition, there is a $75 registration fee due at the time of registration.

• Lunch Bunch….$8.00/session, and MOTS….$16.00/session

Because ACDC recognizes the importance of parental involvement during the early years of evelopment, we encourage and appreciate the assistance from parents in each classroom.

Registration Information:

• Registration for our currents school year, 2011-20112, is available when and if there are openings in a class. 
• Registration for current students and their siblings for the 2012-2013 school year will begin on Wednesday, February 15, 2012.
• Registration for new students for the 2012-2013 school year will begin on Wednesday, March 14, 2012.
