Pollinator Garden Seed Planting
Join us at 9 am on Saturday May 2 (weather permitting) to help plant heirloom and zinnia seeds in the empty spots in the gardens.
Bring your gloves, or borrow ours. It may only take an hour, so come early! Donuts provided!
We invite anyone who is able to help water the gardens in May to help these seeds grow, especially if the rains do not come.
Contact Deb Sauder at dgsauder@yahoo.com for a lesson in how to water.
If you can help one day in the month, that would be wonderful. It will take 1-2 hours depending on how long you leave the sprinklers on.

Cross Connection
Cross Connection is an organization providing opportunities to serve others.
Through Cross Connection, Asbury will be sending a team of youth and adults on a mission trip to Richmond, VA.

Shine: Puppets for Christ Spring Show
Puppets for Christ ministry is busy working on our spring show and we are super excited to share it with you!
We are only offering ONE performance this spring so get your tickets early to assure your spot!
Friday, April 24th at 6:00- Dinner and Show
The menu will include:
Homemade mac n’ cheese with a toppings bar to make bowls
Pulled pork and chicken tenders
Salad
Desserts

In-person ticket sales will be on Sunday, April 12th & 19th at each service.
The deadline to purchase tickets will be April 19th.

Lunch & Learn
Come celebrate Earth Day – just a few days early!
Everyone is invited to Lunch & Learn on Sunday, April 19 following the Festive Service to hear about the Camden Community Garden project.
Now more than ten years old, the gardening project was envisioned as a way to meet community needs for fresh and healthful produce, as well as transforming an empty lot and creating new forms of engagement for local churches. Martin Hutchison, pastor of the Community of Joy Church of the Brethren on South Boulevard, and one of the leaders behind the project, will give us a presentation on how the gardens work and what they mean to everyone involved.
Please join us in the Fellowship Hall at 12:15 pm for a light lunch prior to the presentation.
RSVP, if possible, for the purposes of room setup and lunch planning.
However - please feel free to come even if you have not RSVP’d! All are welcome.

Pollinator Garden Clean-Up
Celebrate Spring and Earth Day (4/22) a little early!
All Asburians are invited to join in the clean-up of the pollinator gardens in the South Parking lot on Saturday 4/18, 9 am-noon.
Come any part of that time to help remove the old, dead stuff, and pull the crab grass.
We will provide gloves and garden tools if you do not have them. Supervised children are welcome to assist, youth are invited to attend!
Drinks and snacks provided. The event will be rescheduled if the weather is bad.

The Disciple Garden is located between the Office and Asbury Child Development Center entrances by the South Parking Lot.
Please note we will not be having egg hunts on Easter Sunday, but instead the Saturday before - let’s try something new!

It’s not technically night as it is 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM - better for the kids!

Palm Sunday
Today is Palm Sunday, and the beginning of Holy Week - the last week of Lent before the arrival of Easter.
It is a special Sunday with the usual worship times/services:

8:45 AM Come As You Are (CAYR) in the Fellowship Hall
11:00 AM Festive in the Sanctuary

Ignite Youth Conference
The Ignite Conference takes place in Ocean City, MD every year and is hosted by the Baltimore-Washington & Peninsula-Delaware Area UMC Conference.
Speakers and Christian Music Artists help create this high-energy worship experience for youth in grades 6 - 12.

Church & Society present the March Lunch & Learn
Everyone is invited to attend on March 15 in the Soul Café following the 11am Festive Service.
A light lunch will be served followed by a presentation from Katrin Huber, Executive Director of the Jesse Klump Memorial Fund.
The goal of the Jesse Klump Suicide Awareness and Prevention Program is to reduce the threat of suicide through outreach and education.
Suicide awareness, suicide prevention, and access to care are included in the presentation.
RSVP, if possible, for the purposes of room setup and lunch planning.

Ash Wednesday Worship
Today marks the beginning of the season of Lent.
There are two worship services for Ash Wednesday.
Please note the time of 12:15pm to 8:00pm is accounting for the beginning of one service and the end of the other.
Join us at 12:15pm in the Sanctuary for a shorter midday service.
Join us at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall for Soup, Salad, and a Service alongside our friends from The Restoration Project (TRP)

Safe Sanctuary Training
Safe Sanctuary Training will be held today, following the 11am Festive Service.
All those wishing to help with children, youth, and vulnerable adult ministries must undergo this training.
For example, if you’d like to help with Sunday School, Youth Group, or special events - you must be Safe Sanctuary trained.
Training takes about 90 minutes.

Puppet Spaghetti Dinner: 'Tell the World About Jesus'
Join Puppets for Christ for our annual spaghetti dinner and shows!
We are offering two performances again this year and the same show will be on both dates.
Friday, January 30 at 6:00- Spaghetti Dinner and Show
Saturday, January 31 at 3:00- Show with concessions (no spaghetti at this show!)
* In case the shows are postponed due to inclement weather, the rescheduled dates will be February 6 & 7 *
This year’s show will be entitled “Tell the World about Jesus”.

United Women In Faith (UWIF) Informational Meeting
Calling all women and female youth to information meeting for UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH
United Women in Faith have been in existence since 1869
UWIF is a women's mission organization with an emphasis on women, children and youth. We are a local to global organization, empowering women to lead in areas of advocacy, justice, service and love with sisterhood fellowship.
Come out and hear what we do and see if you would like to become part of this amazing organization of unstoppable change-makers.
In our busy lives it is often difficult to serve others in need, but together, as sisters supporting sisters, we can be a powerful force for change.
