Lead Courageously

Confirmation

Confirmation classes occur every year from about February - May.

8th grade and above are eligible.

During the Confirmation journey, youth prayerfully discern if they would like to become a professing member of the Methodist Church. They also uncover how this journey will impact their faith lives.

Safe Sanctuary

Safe Sanctuary is a movement in the United Methodist Church to ensure that all children/youth/vulnerable adults and the adults who care for them and work with them are safe.

This program has been in effect at Asbury since December 31, 2009. The guidelines follow the suggestions found in the resource “Safe Sanctuaries for Youth: Reducing the Risk of Abuse in Youth Ministries” by attorney Joy Thornburg Melton. This resource is used by The United Methodist Church in its Safe Sanctuaries training.
